Have a sense of humour Life’s too short to be serious all the time. We believe that humour is the secret ingredient to creativity, whether it’s a pun in a pitch or just laughing off the inevitable hiccups. If you can’t laugh at yourself, you’re probably doing it wrong.

Everything gets toasted Always add more. Bread is great; somebody worked out how to mix yeast and flour to make a staple of the human diet. But then someone cooked it again and ‘oh my’. That’s the magic moment. That’s where we can add value to your organisation. You bake the bread, we toast it.

Be yourself What we all get up to outside of work is what makes us who we are inside the office. The weirder the better. What use would we be to our clients if we all sounded, looked and behaved in exactly the same way? You pay us to be unlike anybody you’ve ever worked with before. And we are!

Spend time with family Connections are crucial. Not because we like them (although we do. Apart from Auntie Marge, we don’t talk about Auntie Marge) but because they burst our comfy little agency bubble. The most cutting feedback on marketing comes from the world-weary nanna. The most enlightening insights come from the young digital natives who barely look up from their phones. Don’t ignore your family.

Drink more water That’s not really a value, just a bit of good advice. Didn’t know where else to put it.
